Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown often fought for social issues during his NFL career. But even he knows Colin Kaepernick is doing it all wrong.

He did seem to empathize with Kaepernick, who has starting the whole trend of kneeling or sitting during the national anthem. That said, Brown did make it clear that he believes Kaepernick and the other protesters are going about this the wrong way.

“I’m going to give you the real deal: I’m an American,” Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown said. “I don’t desecrate my flag and my national anthem. I’m not gonna do anything against the flag and national anthem. I’m going to work within those situations. But this is my country, and I’ll work out the problems, but I’ll do it in an intelligent manner.”

It was really a great point when Jim Brown said, “Colin has to make up his mind whether he's truly an activist or he's a football player. Football is commercial. You have owners. You have fans. And you want to honor that if you're making that kind of money…”

It's good to see people stepping up and realizing why Colin Kaepernick is not on a roster. LeSean McCoy and Jim Brown have pointed out what many in their situation has failed to recognize.
