The Sterling Heights Police Department released some shocking video footage of a shooting incident that happened in Detroit.
In the video, you see a woman go out to her vehicle, get inside and start to back up when a truck blocks her from continuing to back up. Then the man gets out of the truck and shoots at the woman multiple times.
The man was sitting, waiting, and watching for her to come out and had full intentions of killing the woman.
The woman is seen speeding away as another woman in her condo screams from the porch. The gunman continues to fire at the moving vehicle before getting in the truck and giving chase.
Moments later, the woman returns and parks her SUV on the front lawn before running back into the condo to call for help, police said. The suspect pulls up in the pickup truck and partially exits the vehicle before speeding away.
This is absolutely unreal. There's honestly not a lot you can do in a situation like this, but this is why it's very important to always have situational awareness.
Personally, I'm always aware of where exits are just in case something were to happen, and I'm always aware of the people around me.
There's no telling what was going through this guy's mind or why he was waiting for her, because it does look like he had her in mind as the target. They've likely crossed paths somewhere though it's unclear where as of right now.
Maybe the guy was upset about a date or an encounter somewhere, or maybe she cut him off.
The rumor that I'm hearing though is that this was an ex-boyfriend.
It seems rather apparent that the woman and the mother knew who was in the truck and it seems that the mother was telling her not to leave. They must have been worried about what this man may do.

CDC: 14-Day Quarantine for COVID-19 Can be Shortened
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) came out on Wednesday and stated that they are shortening the recommended quarantine time. Now, a person exposed to the virus can be shortened to seven days with a negative test result and ten days without a test if they don't have symptoms.
"Reducing the length of quarantine may make it easier for people to take this critical public health step," said CDC COVID-19 incident manager, Henry Walke.
