U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement also known as ICE kicked off immigration raids. The illegals scatter like roaches after these started in 6 states. This is a preview of what is coming in Trump's administration, which enforces "law & order."
The raids kicked off in Georgia, Illinois, New York, California, North Carolina and South Carolina. The illegals were arrested at their home as well as their workplace. Immigration watchers also claim that these raids started in Florida Kansas, Texas and Virginia as well.
According to the Washington Post, Rep Joaquin Texas (D-Tex.) spoke with an ICE official in Texas and he confirmed that “launched a targeted operation in South and Central Texas as part of Operation Cross Check.”
Atlanta immigration attorney Hiba Ghalib told the Post, “People are panicking. People are really, really scared.” Well, you know, if they hadn't broken the law to enter this country, then maybe they wouldn't be so scared.
Per the Washington Post:
ICE agents in the Los Angeles area Thursday swept a number of individuals into custody over the course of an hour, seizing them from their homes and on their way to work in daytime operations, activists said.
David Marin, ICE’s field director in the Los Angeles area, said in a conference call with reporters Friday that 75 percent of the approximately 160 people detained in the operation this week had felony convictions; the rest had misdemeanors or were in the United States illegally. Officials said Friday night that 37 of those detained in Los Angeles has been deported to Mexico.
