House Democrats are already griping about the Senate trial when it hasn't even started yet. They're concerned that their case isn't going to get the respect that they think it deserves. It will get the respect it deserves which is no respect because it's not a respectable case.
They have all heard that McConnell thinks they have no case, and they hate that he is right. So some House Dems are demanding that Mitch McConnel recuse himself, now that he has claimed that he is not an impartial juror.
According to The Daily Wire,
Democrats, increasingly desperate to either avoid a Senate trial altogether or to conform the Senate trial to their whims and needs, are now pressuring Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who will run operations once the impeachment enters a Senate trial phase, to “recuse” himself because he cannot be an “impartial juror.”
Dem Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) told CNN late Tuesday that she and other Democrats are preparing to request that McConnell step down from his role overseeing the Senate trial or Democrats will be forced to declare a “mistrial,” abandon the impeachment process, and re-impeach the President when the opportunity presents itself again.
“I think we’re going to have to call a mistrial before it even gets over to the Senate,” Speier told the network. “My understanding is that each of the senators is going to have to take an oath that they will independently evaluate the evidence for impeachment. . . . It sounds like there’s no interest in doing that whatsoever, and I would think Mitch McConnell should recuse himself.”

This sheer amount of hypocrisy in Rep. Speier's words is astonishing. I can't believe the Democrats have the cajones to accuse the Republicans of not being impartial.
Here's as simple as it's going to get...the Senate is the jury and Democrats do not get to decide who can be a juror and who cannot. It is for the entire Senate to be the jury.
Democrats hate President Trump with an unending passion and are by no means are they impartial. The fact of the matter is that Democrats are so blinded by their hatred of our President that they can’t even handle the fact that their case for impeachment is extremely weak.
