Something that was recently found inside of some luggage at a Virginia airport is not for the faint-hearted.
I'd venture to say that this must be one of the most horrifying things ever brought into the country. How this even made it to the U.S. is beyond my understanding.
The thing that really makes this situation worse is that the items that were brought into the U.S. came from China and this happened while China is going through the whole Coronavirus mess.
A suitcase was found at Dulles International Airport in Virginia, which has about 100 small dead birds inside.
The birds were sealed in some Chinese packaging and was labeled at pet food, which it may very well be pet food in China.
But how messed up is this? China not only sells small dead birds as pet food, but in order to sell that at a consumer level, you know that they are also raising and killing these small baby birds to use as food as well. That's probably the most horrifying thing about it all.
The director of field operations for CBP’s Baltimore Field Office has this to say,
“These dead birds are prohibited from importation to the United States as unprocessed birds pose a potentially significant disease threat to our nation’s poultry industries and more alarmingly to our citizens as potential vectors of avian influenza. Customs and Border Protection agriculture specialists continue to exercise extraordinary vigilance every day in their fight to protect our nation’s agricultural and economic prosperity from invasive pests and animal diseases.”

Is this a way to try and bring some nasty bird flu into the country surreptitiously?

Atlanta Mayor Asks Citizens to Stop 'Shooting Each Other' After 8-year-old Murdered Near BLM Protest Site
During an emotional press conference Sunday night, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms called for citizens to stop "shooting each other up on our streets." This was after an 8-year-old girl was shot and killed near a Wendy's on the 4th of July.
Bottoms, who is considered a possible running mate with Joe Biden, fought back tears during the remarks. There have been a staggering number of deaths in cities across the United States. Sixty-three people were injured and 17 killed in Chicago, including two children, over the weekend; and in New York City, 44 were hurt and at least six killed.
