You know how there is always that friend that claims they almost joined the military? Well, Hillary could be that person.

Hillary claims she tried to join the Marines in 1975. The recruiter suggested that she try to join the Army since she was too old for the Marines. She was 26 years old at the time. She first told this story in 1994 and reiterated it this year while on the campaign trail at a breakfast in New Hampshire.

The Washington Post has asked recruiters from that time frame whether this is a reasonable scenario. If it would be a possibility for the Marines to turn away a recruit like Hillary Rodham, who was a lawyer and up and coming political star. The answer was a very confident no.

Hillary's friends vouch for her that she was seeking to join the military. They state that she was looking to press how far women could go in that type of career.

Remember Hillary is not the only political person to fabricate some military claims. Ben Carson claimed that he was offered a full scholarship to West Point. This was discovered when the world realized that full scholarships are not offered to West Point.

Perhaps Brian Williams was there for these events.
