This guy was definitely thinking outside the box. A Florida man attempts to bomb Target stores so he can buy cheap stocks. That's right. The plan did not go down as the Ocala man hoped.

Mark Charles Barnett, 48, was charged with a criminal complaint of possession of a firearm affecting commerce by a previously convicted felon, per the U.S. Attorney's Office in middle Florida district. If convicted, Barnett faces up to 10 years in prison. Barnett is a registered sex offender.

Per the affidavit, Barnett offered a $10,000 payment to another man in exchange for placing at least 10 "improvised explosive bombs" on store shelves from New York to Florida. These bombs were to be disguised in food-item packaging.

Fortunately, the man who was to deliver the bombs went to authorities. He handed over 10 food boxes which contained black powder bombs. Additionally, he handed over a bag of gloves, a mask and a license plate cover.

It's amazing what length people will go to in order to avoid hard work. While this plan certainly didn't lack creativity, this guy is completely out of his mind. Mark Charles Barnett needs to be locked up for a long time due to the damage that could have been done by his sick plan.
