People all over the world are doing what they can to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. Some countries are on complete lockdown like Italy. Here in the U.S. we're starting to see a number of states start doing this as well.

Outside of those places, residents elsewhere are reducing how much time they spend out of the house and keeping a safe distance from people. Oh, and don't forget the hand sanitizer!

They are diligently working toward getting a vaccine made that will help combat the spread of this virus.

Phase one of the trials for the vaccine just started on Monday and the vaccine will likely not be ready before all of this dies down and the curve starts trending the other way. If it did, we would all be in trouble. After it completes trials and is fast tracked, I'm sure it will become one of the vaccinations added to the ever-growing list.

Dr. Mehmet Oz has long been a well-respected doctor and he said something this week that is incredibly important for people to hear.

Dr. Oz said that by simply washing your hand alone...just this one thing can reduce your odds of catching the virus by 50%.

Fox News reported,

While a vaccine to combat the spread of the coronavirus remains months away from approval, taking the proper precautions at home can reduce virus transmission by nearly 50 percent, according to Dr. Mehmet Oz.

Joining "Fox & Friends Sunday," Oz answered many of the questions surrounding the novel outbreak, emphasizing the importance of handwashing and social distancing after reports on Sunday estimated the number of infected cases in the U.S. surged to nearly 3,000 nationwide – up from the less than 500 cases recorded in the country at the start of the week.

"Washing your hands alone is probably a 50 percent reduction in virus transmission," Oz said. "It’s a DIY vaccine ... it's that powerful ... that’s the best way to stay out of it ... but," he emphasized, "the most important thing is social distancing."

I hope that after this coronavirus mess passes, that people remain to be this diligent in their hygiene and that they continue washing their hands and keeping them off of their face as they should.

One thing I can still remember though is every single teacher I ever had. I was fortunate enough to have a couple teachers who were relatively attractive, but a math teacher who recently went viral puts every one of my teachers to shame.

Gabbard Suspends Campaign, Endorses Biden

The only person in the Democratic primaries that I actually liked has called it quits and ended her presidential campaign.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard hung up her hat after finishing extremely low in every primary and caucus that has been held so far. She left the primaries to be bought over by Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
