Dr. Anthony Fauci has been working in Washington D.C. for a long time. He's worked with many former presidents and has even said that there has been no better cooperation and support than he's seen from President Trump.
Many in the media and reporters are trying to create some tension between Dr. Fauci and President Trump, not to make Dr. Fauci look bad, but to make President Trump look like he's incompetent and doesn't know what he's doing.
Earlier this week, Axios tried pushing a rumor from Rep. Ted Leui about the Trump administration losing patience with the doctors.
Axios wrote, “At the end of the 15-day period, there will likely be a serious clash between the public health experts — who will almost certainly favor a longer period of nationwide social distancing and quarantining — versus the president and his economic and political aides, who are anxious to restart the economy.”
They're trying to say that the President won't heed the advice of the experts on his task force like Dr. Fauci, but Fauci shot down that idea.
On Tuesday, Fauci appeared on WMAL’s “Morning on the Mall” and he blasted the media.
VINCE COGLIANESE: "It seems like increasingly a bunch of questions from the media are designed to create a rift between you and the President of the United States, at least, to emphasize differences of opinion that creates distances between you and the president. Are you sensing that as the media continually asks you questions about the differences you have with him?"
DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: "That is really unfortunate. I would wish that would stop because we have a much bigger problem here than trying to point out differences. They really, fundamentally, at the core when you look at it, there are not differences. The president has listened to what I’ve said with the other people on the task force have said. When I’ve made recommendations, he’s taken them. He’s never countered and overridden me. The idea of pitting one against the other is just not helpful and I’d wish that would stop so we can look ahead at the challenge we have together to get over this thing. "
We are in good hands with our President, Vice President, Dr. Fauci, and the rest of the task force working toward eliminating this threat.
