Don Lemon read the open letter he wrote to President Trump with regards to his public feud with Gold Star widow Myeshia Johnson. And openly wept.

In the letter Lemon claims that Trump "essentially called her a liar" with a tweet on Monday. Lemon also suggests that Trump's response to her appears to be racially motivated. For some reason Lemon gave his own apology to Johnson on behalf of Trump and offers Trump the right to use it himself. Something tells me that won't happen. After he reads the letter he breaks down for a moment, unable to keep himself from crying on air.

Per Daily Wire:

On his "facts first" show on Monday, Lemon chose to read an open letter he wrote to Trump, which began with citing Trump's personal insults of him and then shifted to chiding Trump for the inappropriate decision to put a Gold Star widow in an even more difficult situation.

"Your tweet this morning essentially called her a liar. Mr. Trump, please stop it. Please stop!" said Lemon (full transcript below). "Think of what Sgt. Johnson would want. You are putting his widow in the terrible position of having to fight for her dignity when she should be concentrating on taking care of herself, her health, her two children, and the one on the way."

Lemon urged Trump to do what George W. Bush and other previous presidents would do.

"If Myeshia Johnson is mad at you, take it. Just as President Bush and others did. Take it. It's part of what YOU signed up for when you decided to descend that escalator and throw your hat in the ring for president," he said. "You're commander in chief, the President of the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth. Act like it."

Lemon also suggested that Trump's criticism of Johnson appears to be racially motivated, saying, "And think about this: The only Gold Star families you have attacked are people of color. How does that look?"

Lemon closed by giving Trump the comments that he should make to the Gold Star widow, which shifted into what Lemon would personally say halfway through, including that La David Johnson inspired him in part because he is also an African American. "And to be extremely candid, as a black man, I am always looking for role models who look like me, and the latest one I found was your husband, La David," he said.

At this point Lemon broke down into tears.

Why is crying the "cool" thing to do in 2017 for the left.
