The mainstream media sinks lower and lower. Now Desperate CNN calls out President Trump for getting two scoops of ice cream at dinner. Seriously.
The reporter goes in depth about what was served for dinner. It talks about how President Trump gets preferential treatment with the food on his plate. Check it out. Per Time Magazine:
The waiters know well Trump’s personal preferences. As he settles down, they bring him a Diet Coke, while the rest of us are served water, with the Vice President sitting at one end of the table. With the salad course, Trump is served what appears to be Thousand Island dressing instead of the creamy vinaigrette for his guests. When the chicken arrives, he is the only one given an extra dish of sauce. At the dessert course, he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else. The tastes of Pence are also tended to. Instead of the pie, he gets a fruit plate.”
Time didn't clarify whether or not anyone asked for a second scoop of ice cream. It's normal to get one scoop of ice cream with pie. Since Trump is a regular at The White House, they cater to what he likes. Makes sense, right?
The hilarious thing is CNN seriously tried to make this a scandal. The online version of this article had the headline "Trump gets 2 scoops of ice cream, everyone else gets 1 -- and other top lines from his Time interview." The lead was also very insulting. "President Donald Trump is living every child's dream: more ice cream."
