They found that 24% of Democrats distanced themselves from someone as a result of a political posting. 9% of Republican and Independents reported doing the same thing. Additionally, 28% of Democrats removed friends from Facebook because of something political. 8% of the Conservatives reported the same thing. Moderates reported removing a friend from Facebook due to a political post 11% of the time. This survey was taken December 7-11. It was taken among 1,004 adults. There was 3.6% margin of error.
