News broke on Monday that Senator Democrats gave in to the Republicans on the government shutdown. There was a promise for a vote on immigration legislation, but nothing more. As a result, a Democrat fight broke out. Nancy Pelosi and other progressives attacked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
It has now been reported by The New York Times that the government shutdown has ended. The U.S. government was reopened after an 81-18 vote to break the filibuster and open shop back up.
Here are the 18 senators who still voted against the motion to advance a spending bill.

Rep. Luis Guttierez was not happy. He said, “They caved. They blinked. That’s what they do.”
The only Democrats who held on and voted against it were from deep blue states outside of 2020 presidential hopeful Jon Tester (D-MT).
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took the exact stance you would expect. “I don’t see that there’s any reason...I’m speaking personally and hearing from my members...to support what was put forth," Pelosi said.
Per Daily Wire:
So, what did Democrats get from this shutdown?
Here’s the full list: the perception that Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had outlasted them at the negotiating table; the understanding that Democrats will be unable to fight Republicans using a government shutdown as leverage, at least on the issue of illegal immigration; the impression that Democrats care more about illegal immigrants than military members; a Democratic base that now believes the Democrats are on the run; the impression that Democrats were responsible for the shutdown.
Ouch.
What have Republicans gained?
They’ve gained the perception that they can govern; combined with the tax cut bill, Republicans in Congress have done their job and forced Democrats into a position of irrelevance. Furthermore, the White House now says that it will not sign the Graham-Durbin proposal, a Senate bill to legalize illegal immigrant children and their parents, and hand citizenship to the kids.

Check out some of the responses on Twitter:
Dems shutdown the government for 3 days.
Here's what they got:• Messaging win for Trump
• Full Schumer surrender to McConnell
• Cave to GOP demands (filibuster, DACA)
• Pointless messaging war with military, CHIP funding
• Demoralization of their baseBravo guys.
