On Thursday there was 'A Day Without Immigrants' movement. Unfortunately for many, a Day Without Immigrants turned to unemployment.

This movement intended to show President Trump what immigrants mean to this country. Immigrants were going to prove their point by not going to work and also not spending any money. Now, many of these same immigrants are without a job.

JVS Masonry of Denver is an example of one of the companies who took a stand against this day. Ray was the foreman of two different crews at JVS Masonry. He told his crews that if they missed this day of work, they would be without jobs as a result. Ray was relaying this message from his bosses.

“You stand for what you believe, make sure you stand for whatever consequences are going to come. … He said whoever took the day off today can find another job tomorrow,” read Ray's text that came from Jim Serowski, who owns JVS Masonry.

“The guys that we have out here that have families that are afraid to go out and get a gallon of milk, get gas, going to get groceries in case they get stopped and deported,” Ray said, defending the movement.

Here is the live video of the crews getting the news.
