Liberal activist David Hogg has been accepted to Harvard. He announced on Twitter Saturday that he will be enrolling fall 2019 as a political science major.
The 18-year-old Parkland shooter survivor has done all he can do to keep his name in the national media since 17 of his classmates were killed in the shooting. He has been very clear that he believes gun rights in America are to blame for the tragedy. Hogg has been very active in supporting gun control since the shooting.
Thank you all for the well wishes, I’ll be attending Harvard in the fall with a planned major in Political Science.

Hogg organized the "March For Our Lives" protest that happened in March 2018 in Washington DC. During the protest over a million people protested for gun control. He also took the school year off between 2018-2019 to campaign for liberal candidates during the midterms.
Much has been made of Hogg getting accepted into Harvard despite scoring only a 1270. He was declined acceptance from other schools such as UC Irvine and UCLA. Him gaining acceptance into Harvard is definitely going to draw more attentions to the admissions practices used at Harvard. Their practices have previously been criticized for being discriminatory and un-meritocratic. The university has already been sued for discriminating against Asians in favor of white people and other minorities with lower test scores.
There has been a good bit of conservative criticism after the far left icon was admitted to Harvard, sparking mention of political bias.
75% of Harvard students score over a 1470 on their SAT with the bottom 25% averaging just over 1400. You really need over a 1470 to be considered.
David Hogg’s SAT score was 1270.
He was denied to UCLA, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine, where a 1240 places you above average. https://t.co/wfpQkHOCxA

I’m all for college admissions being more than about test scores & GPA, but here’s the thing the media will never say about David Hogg/Harvard:
If he had used his celebrity/platform to promote a pro-2nd Amendment position, there’s literally ZERO chance he gets in. ZERO #LibBias https://t.co/FHB1Id2fv6

Back in March Laura Ingraham of Fox News brought up Hogg's rejections to colleges on her show. In response Hogg called for a boycott of her show.

Hogg has already made it clear he plans to run for Congress when he turns 25, which is the minimum age to be a member of the House of Representatives, as stated by the U.S. Constitution.
