It's well established that Colin Kaepernick is still a free agent. He is still playing the race card. With this new report, Colin Kaepernick's motives are exposed. He turned down a leas 1 contract so he could keep on playing the race card. As far as not being in the NFL, the oppressed quarter back has one person he can place the blame on: himself.
There has been a narrative pushed that Kaepernick's political views are preventing him from getting a job in the NFL. According to a source with the Daily Caller, he has turned down at least one contract. Why? So he can keep the storm brewing and create a frenzy that drives him to get a richer contract than he deserves.
According to the source, Kaepernick is not OK with making backup money. He has clearly let his representation know that he is not interested in taking backup money, which is the league minimum of $900,000. The problem is when you are a backup, you need to take a backup salary to get a job.
At the beginning of the 2017 offseason, Kaepernick parted ways with his long-time agent XAM Sports. They have represented him since he entered the league in 2011. Ever since that happened, Kaepernick's girlfriend has became more assertive in his negotiations.

The source further explained that the NFL has instructed teams and owners to hush news of Kaepernick’s contract negotiations.
Several teams, including the Ravens, Seahawks and Dolphins, have reportedly reached out to Kaepernick this offseason.
Just last week, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti confirmed he was interested in acquiring Kaepernick to play second-fiddle to oft-injured starter, Joe Flacco.
Two days after Baltimore first expressed interest, Ravens legend Ray Lewis posted a cryptic video telling Kaepernick to focus on football not activism.
Nessa Diab then compared Lewis and Bisciotti to a slave and master, and negotiations stalled.
