The election is approaching quickly and will be here before we know it. I can't believe it's already less than 6 months away.
Now that it is approaching, people are beginning to pay more attention to the various polls that are released showing who is leading where so they can get a bit of confidence in their candidate.
For the most part, the mainstream media is leading us to believe that Biden in winning in practically all the polls, but they did the same thing back in 2016 with Hillary Clinton. Hillary was supposed to win by a landslide.
I don't have much faith in polls because they're obviously wrong...Trump won after all. But besides that, I think they are not as random as they make them out to be.
But even with that being the case, CNN still can't completely hide the fact that it's own polls show that President Trump is destroying Joe Biden in many of the key battleground states.
The National Review said, "CNN seemed oddly unenthused about its own poll. And the story to which the homepage linked doesn’t mention that Trump had never scored higher in a CNN poll. True, there are lots of noisy data in the piece, most of which cut against Trump. But on the other hand the single most surprising and hence most newsworthy detail of the poll was that Trump holds a seven-point lead over Biden in the battleground states.
The CNN story doesn’t even tell us what that figure is — seven points seems like a pretty big number — and downplays its own finding by noting, “Given the small sample size in that subset of voters, it is difficult to determine with certainty whether the movement is significant or a fluke of random sampling.”
So what were the battleground states in the CNN poll? Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico and North Carolina.
Is that all?
That’s a whopping 15 states. When you look at the weight that they have in the Electoral College, here are the numbers you'll find:
- Arizona, 11
- Colorado, 9
- Florida, 29
- Georgia, 16
- Maine, 4
- Michigan, 16
- Minnesota, 10
- Nevada, 6
- New Hampshire, 4
- New Mexico, 5
- North Carolina, 15
- Ohio, 18
- Pennsylvania, 20
- Virginia, 13
- and Wisconsin, 10
That amounts to 186 electoral votes, which is well over half of the number to total votes (270) needed to win the election.
Now, I admit that just because President Trump is leading in these states now doesn't mean he will be in November, but I'm very confident he will be dominating in November.
