After their losing presidential campaign and several months of reflection, the Clintons' summer vacation rental in the Hamptons sold for $29 million.
It is not known how much the Clintons were actually paying to stay in the house. In the past the house was rented for $150,000 a month or $500,000 for the entire summer.
That may seem like a lot to pay for a summer rental, but for the Clintons it's a drop in the bucket. They have collected $153 million in speaking fees since 2001. They have been able to take being a public servant to incredibly high levels of wealth.
Per The Washington Free Beacon:
The roughly 10,000-square-foot East Hampton, N.Y. property is on 1.25 acres with 200 feet of ocean frontage. It contains eight bedrooms, all of which have en suite bathrooms, a formal dining room and six fireplaces.
The Clintons have been vacationing in this home since August of 2011, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Maybe instead of relaxing in this beach house, the Clintons should have spent more time campaigning in Wisconsin.
