Generally, Leonardo DiCaprio uses his private jet for travel. Not this time. Climate change champion Leo DiCaprio dumps first class and will fly commercial.

Wow, what a generous man. Since he is founder of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which is focused on environmental issues, he has been criticized for the hypocrisy in lecturing Americans on the danger of fossil fuels while flying around the glove in his personal private jet.

Climate Change Champion Leo DiCaprio

At one point during an interview in January 2016, DiCaprio insisted climate change is "the biggest problem that mankind has ever had to face.” What makes it funny is immediately after he finished the speech he hopped on his private jet to travel to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum's annual conference.

In May of 2016, he flew about 8,000 miles from the Cannes Film Festival in France all the way to New York. He was there for a cup of coffee while he picked up his Fishermen's Ball's "Big Fish" award. This award was presented to him due to his commitment to clean water. Immediately after picking up the award he was off to France to give a speech at the Cinema Against AIDS gala.

There is no word on whether or not some of Leo's superstar buddies will accompany him in his flight with the peasants.
