Many comedians get to the top of their craft with brutal honesty. You can count Chris Rock among those comedians.
Last night at the NAACP awards, Chris Rock was discussing the topic of Jussie Smollett. He said that the actor who faked a hate crime and was somehow magically cleared of all charges will get no respect from him. Rock went straight into the lion's den and threw down the gauntlet.
Incredible.

Check out some of the responses on Twitter:
We just saw this generational divide in real time. Chris Rock got on stage and clowned Jussie Smollett then Yara Shahidi got on stage and said “I stand with Jussie.”
The OGs believe no one or no joke is off limits.
New generation get offended and stand w ppl even in the wrong.

A comedy legend like Chris Rock knows how things work. Being honest is what makes them funny and they can't just bypass on calling out Jussie in fear of offending people. Rock did what he had to do in that spot: he delivered comedy gold and the crowd loved it. At least the ones that weren't afraid of offending anyone.
I love Chris Rock. He is truly fearless in his comedy. It makes him one of the greats.
This is not up for debate.

So what does the left think of Chris' comments?
Yara Shahidi was on stage right after and said "I stand with Jussie" That was my favorite moment.

It’s time we cancel Chris Rock. The same man who sat with two men and joked about the N-word and Jerry Seinfield had to say something while he laughed. Now you make a colorism joke at the #NAACPImageAwards #CancelChrisRock pic.twitter.com/CX2B9YOWgC

Oh look, they are offended. What a surprise. Viktor was angry that anyone would have a sense of humor about anything.
I don't know what's worse, Chris Rock's jokes about Jussie or the audience laughing at them

Not everyone was angry. It's good to see this Twitter user step up and recognize Chris Rock for what he is: A legend.
I’m proud of Chris Rock - He’s a good man. #Legend

Anyone who knows comedy knows that Chris is a real o.g. of comedy and he would have been doing himself and everyone else a disservice by letting Jussie off the hook.
