When creating a poll on Twitter, Chris Cuomo of CNN was doing what he normally does: sling mud at the right. Except this time it backfired in a big way.
Cuomo took to Twitter to ask his followers who should get the benefit of the doubt, Brett Kavanaugh or his accuser Dr. Christine Ford.
A majority of the people who responded to the poll believe in due process. 54% of the respondents said that Kavanaugh should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. You know, the way law actually works.
Who gets the benefit of the doubt in Kavanaugh/Ford - presumption of innocence for him in court, what about here? Do you think Ford should be presumed to be telling the truth by coming forward?

29% say that Ford should be given the benefit of the doubt and it be assumed she is telling the truth.
Cuomo went into damage control mode and said that this is "not science." After that he took a shot at those who believe Kavanaugh should be given a chance to tell his side of the story.
Just twitter. Not science. But this tells us something of what we value and how we think no? https://t.co/mXzjuVvBSk

After this there were some great responded to Cuomo on Twitter:
It tells us we value due process... oh the horror 🙄

We value justice and fairness. That’s a good thing.

It tells us that there are still many who see the folly in allowing an unfalsifiable allegation to confer the burden of proof on the accused.
