Chris Christie Interested in RNC Chairmanship

It was reported by Politico on Thursday that Christie would like to "throw his hat in the ring" as far as being the Chairman of the RNC. He told Trump's team he is very interested and believes he would be a great fit.

Yet another source told Politico that Christie is putting on a "full court-press" in hopes of securing this position.

At the beginning, Chris Christie was in charge of overseeing the president-elect's transition team. There were some disagreements over staff picks and some strain with staff members, so the governor was replaced by Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

If Chris Christie was chosen for the position, he would serve his second and final term as governor of New Jersey, while leading the RNC. This was reported by NJ.com.
