After CBS Vice President Hayley Geftman-Gold said that she is "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting, she was immediately fired by CBS.
Geftman-Gold took to Facebook after the tragic shooting went down in Las Vegas late Sunday night. She said that she is "not even sympathetic" toward the victims in the Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican."
In a message that has since been deleted, Geftman-Gold wrote, “If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing." The message was first reported by The Daily Caller.
Geftman-Gold also wrote: “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”

It appears Geftman-Gold is referring to the Sandy Hook tragedy when Adam Lanza gunned down 20 children and six adults. During this time debates over gun control intensified.
Per Daily Caller:
CBS has a history of hostility towards Republicans. Shortly after the attack on the GOP congressional baseball team gravely injuring Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise in June, former CBS anchor Scott Pelley questionedwhether the shooting was “foreseeable, predictable and to some degree, self-inflicted.”
The original thread was deleted, but not by Geftman-Gold.
CBS has yet to comment on the situation.
