Somehow this is becoming a common event. Catholic university Fordham University bans Chick-fil-A for supporting Catholic positions on gay marriage. Remember, almost everyone supported this position on gay marriage until the Obama "evolution." Remember, Fordham University is known as , "the oldest Catholic institution of higher learning in the northeast." Fordham has trashed a plan to add a Chick-fil-A to their food court. Why? LGBTQ group Rainbow Alliance rejected the fast food chain's proposal to work with them.

There is a lot of anger pointed toward Chick-fil-A as a result of their beliefs with regards to traditional marriage. Their beliefs are rooted in their religious stance. In 2012 Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy made the controversial statement that he supports "the biblical division of the family unit."

In response to this interview, a series of boycotts were planned against the chain that backfired big-time. Over the past few years a lot of the noise from this issue has died down, but there are still attacks on Chick-fil-A from far leftists. An example of these would be Rainbow Alliance not allowing a chain to be added at the Fordham University food chain.

Fordham's campus newspaper The Observer ran a report in late April that got into details as to why the university declined to install a Chick-fil-A after Rainbow Alliance rejected the chain's effort to reach out to them. The university received pushback from activists, resulting in the university letting four student groups give input into the plan: the United Student Government (USG), the Commuter Students Association (CSA), the Residence Hall Association (RHA), and the Rainbow Alliance.

Chick-fil-A even tried to work with the Rainbow Alliance to come to a common ground. The chain offered to "to collaboratively run unspecified programming with the Rainbow Alliance in conjunction with the rollout of a venue on campus," but the Rainbow Alliance completely rejected this.

"If they want to bring in Chick-Fil-A, they can bring in Chick-Fil-A," said Rainbow Alliance's co-president Renata Francesco. "But we’re not going to partner with an institution, a corporation that has so strongly supported other institutions that work to destabilize and demolish movements for queer equity."

The Observer went on to note that Francesco was surprised that the university did not go through with installing a Chick-fil-A on campus. A big part of this was because recently Fordham rejected a "trans-inclusive spaces" proposal.

It's very surprising to many that Fordham University is not adding Chick-fil-A to their food court based on their views on traditional marriage. What do you think about their decision? Let us know in the comments on Facebook.
