Oh for the love of social justice... I knew California was liberal but this is just ridiculous!

California residents are complaining about the American flag being painted on police cars. They are claiming that it is too "aggressive" and that the graphic will "hurt people's feelings."

Here's an idea, don't commit crimes and your feelings won't have to be hurt. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the display of our American flag in the United States. That goes especially for the bleeding hearts of California.

Laguna Beach officials had originally planned to put the patriotic decal on 11 of the squad cars. However, now they are second guessing the decision. City Council is set to discuss the issue.

Councilman Peter Blake said, “People are screaming that the American flag on a police car is somehow or another … hurting people’s feelings who might be immigrants or visitors."

“People are actually ridiculous enough to bring up comments about our cop cars having American flags on them," he added.

Tribunist reports:

During a March 19 council meeting, Carrie Woodburn, an artist, stated that it was “shocking to see the boldness of the design” when the Ford Explorers were revealed.

“We have such an amazing community of artists here, and I thought the aesthetic didn’t really represent our community,” said Woodburn. “It feels very aggressive.”

However, there has also been positive feedback. Attorney and resident Jennifer Welsh Zeiter praised the flag and called out the people showing hatred.

Zeiter said, “They are so filled with hatred toward this … office of the president of the United States and the current occupant of that office,” she stated, “that they cannot see through their current biases to realize that a police vehicle with the American flag is the ultimate American expression.”

Laguna Beach Police Cpl. Ryan Hotchkiss also claimed that he has had nothing but positive comments on the new paint job.

“Every time I came to a stop sign, every time I came to a red light, somebody is telling me the car looks great,” Hotchkiss added. “Every one of our members that drives the car loves it, and we look forward to keeping them the way they are.”

Sounds to me like they need to worry less about the crying, bleeding hearts and continue on with the original plan.
