Budweiser Considering Ending Sponsorship of NFL – They Want Your Opinion

For many reasons, Budweiser is considering ending its sponsorship of the NFL and they want your opinion regarding the issue.

Unless you have been living under a rock you are very aware of the national anthem protests in the NFL. As a result of these very unpopular protests the NFL is thinking about ending their NFL sponsorships. Right now Bud Light is the official beer of the NFL, but because of these protests which are very unpopular with everyday Americans, that could be ending soon.

Anheuser-Busch has set up a hotline to get your thoughts on the NFL protests:

So what does the hotline say?

“If you are calling with questions or comments about Anheuser-Busch’s sponsorship of the NFL, press one. At Anheuser-Busch, we have a long heritage of supporting the nation’s armed forces, veterans and military dependents. The national anthem is a point of pride for our company and for the 1,100 veterans that we employ. Please feel free to share your feedback after the tone.”

Additional to that, the company released a statement.

These are complex issues that require in-depth discussions and nuanced debate. What I can say is that at Anheuser-Busch we have a long heritage of supporting the institutions and values that have made America so strong. That includes our armed forces and the national anthem as well as diversity, equality and freedom of speech. We proudly employ over 1,100 military veterans and we work every day to create an inclusive environment for all of our employees. Because only together can we achieve our dream of bringing people together for a better world.

It appears that the hotline is getting flooded with calls. The hotline went down briefly on Friday due to getting too many calls, but as of Monday it is up and running.
