There are a handful of different outlooks on the coronavirus and how it should be viewed today given all that we've learned about the virus and the seemingly well-orchestrated pandemic.

There is a virus. People are dying. Beyond that, we don't have much clarity on anything really.

Some states have completely opened up while others are nearly completely shut down. Yet, others are somewhere in between to varying degrees.

One of the orders that have been put in place has been to force everyone to wear masks in order to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Earlier this week, public health officials in Lincoln County, Oregon made the announcement that if you are non-white then you don't have to wear a mask.

“No person shall intimidate or harass people who do not comply,” the Lincoln County public health officials said.

However, the Director of ACLU’s Racial Justice Program ReNika Moore complained about face mask mandates saying that it would lead to racial profiling for black people.

“For many black people, deciding whether or not to wear a bandana in public to protect themselves and others from contracting coronavirus is a lose-lose situation that can result in life-threatening consequences either way,” ReNika Moore said.

Ohio State University professor Trevor Logan said mandating black people wear a mask would be “basically telling people to look dangerous given racial stereotypes that are out there.”

“It looks like almost every criminal sketch of any garden-variety black suspect,” he told CNN in April.

This is just further evidence that they don't really care about our safety. This isn't about keeping people safe, it's about keeping people compliant and under their control. It's either that, or if they really believe masks are for increased safety, then they don't really care about the black population.

Could someone explain to me how this isn't at all racist? Making special exceptions for someone based on their race along, whether that exception be good or bad for that particular race, is still racist. By showing preferential treatment for one race and not others equally is negatively racist to those being excluded, otherwise there would be no legitimate argument that excluding black people from anything was racist.
