The Biden administration is set to reopen a facility that will be used to house up to 700 migrant children.

A statement was released by The Department of Health and Human Services that announced the reopening of the facility and described it as a “temporary Influx Care Facility.”

“Initially, the Carrizo Springs ICF will accommodate approximately 700 children in hard-sided structures. Additional semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacity may be added if necessary, though ORR will always prioritize placing children in hard-sided structures over semi-permanent structures,” the statement read.

“Semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacity” is a euphemism for “tent.”

A New York Post article reminded readers that the “Trump administration faced considerable criticism over its use of temporary shelters, also known as ‘tent cities,’ in towns across the southern border.”

Remember what these semi-permanent (soft-sided) capacities were decribed as during the Trump administration? They were known as "tent cities."

The media is taking an entirely different approach to the Biden administration compared to the Trump administration. From an NBC story in June 2018:

The cost of holding migrant children who have been separated from their parents in newly created "tent cities" is $775 per person per night, according to an official at the Department of Health and Human Services — far higher than the cost of keeping children with their parents in detention centers or holding them in more permanent buildings.
