The Golden Rule, as it is commonly called, is a good principle to live by, and why wouldn't it be? It was, after all, Jesus who said it. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In other words, treat people how you would like to be treated.
Democrats nowadays have their own golden rule that they live by...Do as I say, not as I do.
This is especially true for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
AOC, who ran on a platform based on empathy about her struggles as a working-class woman, has seemingly forgotten about her past, as she was featured on the cover of Vanity Fair wearing a $14,000 outfit.

Many of her constituents can only dream about wearing such lavish clothing - and some of them are only worried about when they are going back to work. New York continues to struggle to go back to normal due to Democrat-related political indecision.
AOC is best known for her Green New Deal, a ludicrous plan to spend close to 100 trillion dollars at the expense of taxpayers' money. When it comes to spending money on clothes, politics, or otherwise, AOC spares no expense.
Socialists and their love for luxury is not something new. Argentine-born Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara loved Rolex watches - and it seems AOC is not that different.
AOC also claimed victimhood against the Right, suggesting conservatives are sexist.
“It’s very dehumanizing in both ways, strangely, both the negative and the positive,” she said of the Right.
“It’s not an accident that, every cycle, the boogeyman of the Democrats is a woman,” Ocasio-Cortez emphasized. “A couple of cycles ago, it was Pelosi. Then it was Hillary, and now it’s me.”
AOC added that it’s “legitimately hard being a first-generation woman … and being working class, trying to navigate a professional environment. … It continues to take me so long to try to figure out how to look put-together without having a huge designer closet.”
AOC has no idea what she advocates for when she calls for "democratic socialism", but she thinks that she does.
“So when millennials talk about concepts like democratic socialism, we’re not talking about these kinds of ‘Red Scare’ boogeyman,” she said. “We’re talking about countries and systems that already exist that have already been proven to be successful in the modern world.”
“We’re talking about single-payer health care that has already been successful in many different models, from Finland to Canada to the UK,” she continued.
But the thing that people never tell you is that of course, it's not free. They want to call it free, but it's not. Doctors don't for free. Nurses don't work for free. That comes out of raised taxes.
