May is shaping up to be a pretty good month. Not only are we finally starting to see things improve in regards to the coronvirus numbers and states slowly starting to reopen, but we're getting a lot of very important dirt on the Obama administration.
Just last week, the Department of Justice dropped the case against General Michael Flynn after there was finally some solid evidence that he was set up by the FBI.
Attorney General William Barr ended the DOJ’s pursuit of Flynn after a review of the case turned up evidence that the FBI investigation into Flynn was carried out on unjust grounds, and that Flynn’s statements did not have a “material impact” on the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election.
This week, Judge Emmitt Sullivan has ignored the request from the DOJ and tabled the motion to dismiss the bogus case against Flynn.
Flynn's attorney said, “This travesty of justice has already consumed three or more years of an innocent man’s life — and that of his entire family. No further delay should be tolerated or any further expense caused to him and his defense. This Court should enter the order proposed by the government immediately.”
Flynn's attorney isn't the only one mad about it either. Renowned Harvard attorney Alan Dershowitz isn't very happy about it all. Keep in mind, Dershowitz is not a Republican, he's a Democrats who supported both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Dershowitz said that what this judge is doing is worthy of impeachment,
"If this judge has the GALL to not throw this out, he ought to be impeached. Remember that judges only have jurisdiction for cases and controversies. There’s no controversy here. Both sides agree this case should be dismissed. This judge has no power to do anything else. And if he asserts that power, he has violated the Constitution.”
