Congresswoman Claims Hurricanes Are Racist

This is incredible. A Texas Congresswoman claims hurricanes are racist. I guess there isn’t an IQ test to be a congresswoman.

Check out Snopes. She really said that.

Sheila Jackson Lee has been in Congress for more than 20 years. She has represented the 18th Texas Congressional District.

With Hurricane Michael hitting the southeast, let’s look back at a comment she made back in 2005. Remember, she pulled the race card out so often that even Maxine Waters thinks it’s ridiculous. She’s said some crazy stuff over the years, but when she demanded that hurricanes be given African-American names, that was absolutely hilarious.

Since Sheila Jackson Lee lives in Houston and has to fear hurricanes, she should realize that people don’t strive to have a hurricane named after them. Despite this, she wishes “all racial groups would be represented” when naming hurricanes. Jackson Lee called on NOAA to “try to be inclusive of African-American names” such as “Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn” when naming these storms.

You read that right. She wants the names of hurricanes to be more diverse and inclusive.

No matter what she says, Houston keeps electing her to Congress. In any situation her favorite move is to pull out the race card. It’s basically her only move. Even when a hurricane strikes.

Jackson Lee was asked if the Mars Pathfinder succeeded in getting a photo of the United States flag that was planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969. Seriously.

What can you do but laugh? Please, Houston, do not vote her in again. But we will not be holding our breath for that to happen.
