Christine Blasey Ford Nominated for ‘Distinguished Alumna’ Award at University of North Carolina

Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford has been nominated for a Distinguished Alumna and Alumnus award  at the University of North Carolina per WRAL.

Ford graduated from UNC in 1988. Recently she was involved in a national political circus when a letter she sent discreetly to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) was leaked to the media. According to the letter, 36 years ago Justice Brett Kavanaugh assaulted her at a party. Though she did go testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee about the allegations, there were no witnesses who corroborated the story and no evidence that goes along with her allegations against Kavanaugh.

On Saturday Kavanaugh was confirmed to the United States Supreme Court.

The UNC award that Ford was nominated for claims that she should be recognized for coming forward with such bravery.

“There may be people reading this nomination letter who will take issue with Dr. Blasey Ford’s testimony or who may see this letter as an example of partisan politics,” the letter explains. “But this letter nominating Dr. Blasey Ford is not about partisan politics: it is about recognizing that the simple act of speaking one’s truth, especially when that truth involves sexual assault, is an act of bravery.”

So you might be wondering what the criteria for the Distinguished Alumna award is. It can be given to any graduate who “has made an outstanding contribution to humanity in any walk of life.”

Yep, that’s where we are at this point. They are awarded women to make sexual allegations. Nevermind that it was 35 years ago and there was zero evidence that it was factual. She made the claim, so here we are.
