Tim Allen: ‘Last Man Standing’ Set to Take On Gun Debate

When “Last Man Standing” returns in the fall, they will not shy away from the hot-button political issues. They are going to take the “Roseanne” approach and tackle them head-on.

While speaking with Closer Weekly, the conservative Tim Allen said that being cancelled by ABC did not curb the energy of the show. Instead it was more like a revival. Allen claims they still have “much left in the tank.”

“We have so much left in our tank. There were a lot of stories we hadn’t gotten to,” Allen said while speaking with Closer Weekly.

The show promises to touch on the gun debate, something that has been a major topic in 2018. A big part of the gun debate gaining steam is the “March For Our Lives” demonstrations.

It just so happens that Allen’s character on the show is a Christian who works as a marketing executive at a sporting goods store. This is too good of an opportunity to wade into the gun debate to pass up.

“We’re going to have to deal with that somehow,” said Allen.

Per Daily Wire:

Considering that sporting goods stores like Dicks announced they would stop selling “assault-style” firearms following the Parkland shooting, that the show will eventually address the issue seems inevitable.

Allen has been an outspoken Hollywood conservative for several years now and tackled various issues in “Last Man Standing” before being abruptly canceled by ABC despite having solid ratings.

Given the ratings success of “Rosanne,” in part due to the show giving Trump supporters a voice, the rollout of this new and improved “Last Man Standing” should be an exciting event.

It’s becoming more and more clear that television being dominated by the left is bad for business. After the success of “Roseanne” and the almost guaranteed success of “Last Man Standing,” look for many to follow suit and more content being created for the conservative viewership.
