Comedia Jimmy Kimmel doesn’t waste any time after tragedies to push his agenda. After the Santa Fe High School shooting in Texas, he ripped politicians for not taking a stronger stance on gun violence.
Kimmel got very personal with his criticism on Friday.
“They care more about the support of the NRA than they do about children,” Kimmel said.
He also went straight at President Trump and completely dismissed a promise Trump made to stay with the people of Santa Fe on Friday after the shooting went down.
“President Trump said he is ‘with the people of Santa Fe in this tragic hour and will be with them forever,’ except for when it comes time to do something ― then he will not be with them, and neither will any of the congresspeople or governors who don’t ever do anything because they’re fearful that it will hurt them politically. They know the truth. They know this has gone too far, but they’re too cowardly to do the right thing.”
This is despite Trump speaking solemnly about the sadness the tragedy brought:
We grieve for the terrible loss of life, and send our support and love to everyone affected by this horrible attack in Texas. To the students, families, teachers and personnel at Santa Fe High School – we are with you in this tragic hour, and we will be with you forever… pic.twitter.com/LtJ0D29Hsv

There were other leftists besides Kimmel going after the NRA. Some even compared them to to a terrorist organization.

NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch has a totally different view on it. She blames the media for mass shootings.
“#MSM has got to stop creating more of these monsters by oversaturation. I’m not saying don’t responsibly report on things as they happen. I understand it. But constantly showing the image of the murderer, constantly saying their name, is completely unnecessary.” —@DLoesch #NRA pic.twitter.com/9GjK3sLrDr

There is a lot of shade being thrown around after the shooting in Santa Fe, when it should be a time we band together and find the best way to move forward.
