Record Lows for Black, Hispanic Unemployment in April

According to the latest jobs report released on Friday from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate for blacks have hit record lows.

The unemployment rate for black workers has dropped down to 6.6%. Previously the low was 6.8%, which was set in December.

The Hispanic jobless rate has dropped down to 4.8%, which is equal to the record, which happened last year and back in 2006.

White American’s unemployment rate stands at 3.6%.

“There’s a heck of a lot of good news in this report,” Kevin Hassett, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, said about the numbers while appearing on Fox News.

President Trump has made many statement with regards to the low unemployment rates we have seen recently for minorities. While it is true that these numbers have improved during Trump’s presidency, these numbers have been improving for more than a decade.
