NFL Protester Michael Bennett Taken Into Police Custody For Assaulting 66-Year-Old Paraplegic

After being recently signed by the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, NFL protester Michael Bennett was taken into police custody on Monday.

Bennett was facing a charge for allegedly assaulting a 66-year-old paraplegic woman while celebrating the Super Bowl victory of his brother, Martellus Bennett. His brother was a member of the New England Patriots, who won Super Bowl LI. According to claims by authorities, while charging the field to celebrate the Super Bowl win, a wheelchair-bound security guard told him to take a different path to the field. Instead, Bennett refused and injured the security guard in the process.

He has since been indicted for a felony charge of assaulting the elderly. This could result in up to 10 years in prison and a find of up to $10,000.

He was taken into custody on Monday in Harris County, Texas. Miya Shay, a Texas-based reporter, captured the moment when Bennett was hauled away in cuffs.

USA Today reports that there was a no-contact ordered issued by judge Robert Johnson before Bennett’s arrest. There was a $10,000 bond put in place, which obviously will be posted easily by Bennett. It has not been announced whether or not the Eagles will discipline Bennett after he is released.

If you don’t remember any of past transgressions by Michael Bennett, he did more than just kneel for the anthem. He was involved with a Las Vegas shooting in late August, following the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. While police were searching for an active shooter, Bennett took off running.

Bennett claimed police , “singled me out and pointed their guns at me for doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Meanwhile, video evidence proved otherwise.

The police were simply doing their job and the SJW NFL player decided he was going to push a false racist agenda to garner attention. Nevermind that two of the officers were Hispanic and one was black. He could have picked a better spot to push his racist agenda.

Will the NFL or the Philadelphia Eagles take any action against Bennett? Don’t count on it…
