Christian Couple Fined For Refusing Gay Marriage On Their Farm, Responds With Perfect Solution

In 2012, a Christian couple in upstate New York refused to hold a gay marriage at their farm when the lesbian couple targeted their farm as the venue of their wedding.

After the lesbian couple sued, a legal battle over three years long happened. It ended in New York Supreme Court Appellate Division upholding the decision by the New York Division of Human Rights, which was made in 2014. The ruling was that the couple who owned the farm, Robert and Cynthia Gifford, were fined $10,000 and forced to pay $1,500 each to the lesbian couple.

Judge Karen Peters wrote in the appeals court ruling:

“The Giffords are free to adhere to and profess their religious beliefs that same-sex couples should not marry, but they must permit same-sex couples to marry on the premises if they choose to allow opposite-sex couples to do so.”

Instead of getting angry, the Giffords have responded with the perfect response to this unfair situation they are involved with. They are letting anyone who has a wedding on their property know that a percentage of their profits will be donated to an organization that champions traditional marriage in America.

Per Faithwire:

At Liberty Ridge Farm, our deeply held religious belief is that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, and the Farm is operated with the purpose of strengthening and promoting marriage. In furtherance of this purpose and to honor and promote our moral and religious beliefs, we donate a portion of our business proceeds to organizations that promote strong marriages such as the Family Research Council. The patronage of all potential clients for all services offered is welcome regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, sex, disability or marital status. All couples legally permitted to marry in the state of New York are welcome to hold their wedding at Liberty Ridge Farm. We serve everyone equally.

More video, this was of fun on the arm:

As always, the logic of the left is flawed. If you were a gay couple, why wouldn’t you want someone who celebrates gay marriage hosting your wedding? Instead they want to find the places who don’t want to host gay weddings and force their narrative on them.

Now this establishment came up with the perfect response. Sure, you can have your wedding here, but you are going to be supporting traditional marriages in America. Perfect!
