President Trump has came down hard on the inaction of a sheriff’s deputy who was assigned to the school. Trump said, “I really believe I’d run in there, even if I didn’t have a weapon.”
“You don’t know until you test it, but I think, I really believe I’d run in there, even if I didn’t have a weapon, and I think most of the people in this room would have done that too,” Trump told a gathering of US governors at the White House.Signaling more than one sheriff’s deputy was at fault, Trump said the Broward County Sheriff’s deputies who remained outside the school as the shooting unfolded “weren’t exactly Medal of Honor winners” and said “the way they performed was frankly disgusting.”
“The way they performed was really a disgrace,” Trump added.

Of course after Trump said this, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was questioned about Trump touting his willingness to be a leader.
As usual, the left misses the point. Jim Acosta wants to focus on what type of training President Trump has with a gun or what qualifies him to be a hero. The point Trump was making was that the men put in place to defend the students failed miserably. His point was that he would take some kind of action in order to help save the children. He also said that he thought anyone else in the room with him would have also acted similarly in that spot.
