Trans ‘Male’ Loaded With Testosterone Wins Second Straight Girls State Wrestling Championship

For the second year in a row a female to male transgender high schooler has won the Texas 6a championship in the girls division. She happens to be on a dosage of testosterone to assist with her transition.

Mack Beggs is the trans wrestler who is mowing through the competition. Despite her ability to use them, all other wrestlers are not allowed to use steroids, due to the unfair advantage it would create.

She won the state championship last year as well. In the regional tournament last year two girls forfeited because they “feared injury.” During this year’s regional tournament there was one girl who forfeited.

Beggs held a 32-0 record taking on the steroid-free girls during the current wrestling season.

Much like last year, the win created plenty of controversy. There were cheers and boos whenever she won the title to win her 11-pound weight class state. championship.

Per Daily Wire:

The wrestler’s mother, Angela McNew, argues that the steroids aren’t really an advantage to her daughter, that wrestling has more to do with “skill and discipline.”

“People think Mack has been beating up on girls,” she said. “The girls he wrestles with, they are tough. It has more to do with skill and discipline than strength.”

“He has so much respect for all the girls he wrestles,” added McNew.

As previously reported by The Daily Wire, Beggs is barred from wrestling against boys due to University Interscholastic League rules, which mandate that athletes wrestle in the gender division reflected on their birth certificates.

Of course her mother thinks it’s fair. Anyone with a brain realizes this is an unfair advantage. I was unaware that girls high school wrestling was even a thing.
