CNN Busted Pushing Fake Story About Boy Buying AR-15 Without ID, Lies About it

Oh look, CNN busted pushing a #FakeNews story about a boy buying an AR-15 without an ID. Even worse, they continue to lie about it after being busted.

First the boy tweeted:

“I was able to buy an AR-15 in five minutes. I’m 20 and my ID is expired.”

Then his follow-up tweet let it be known that he didn’t actually purchase the gun:

“After [the sales representative] walked me through the paperwork, all five pages of it, I told him I changed my mind and wanted to think more before I bought an AR-15. He told me it wasn’t a problem and listed the store hours if I wanted to come back. I then said thank you and walked back to my car.”

So the situation went down exactly how law dictates. He couldn’t buy the gun without ID and a background check, just saw federal law states.

Cuomo did not tweet that out, thought.

When called out, Cuomo tweeted:

“Isn’t the point that the kid’s age and lack of ID wasn’t a deterrent? and this isn’t all gun shops. Place I bought my shotgun basically goes farther than the law requires and makes judgments about whom to sell to. Point is the system should be better.”

Charles Cooke of National Review returned fire:

When in a tough spot, Cuomo did what the left always does. Applies their logic to an unrelated situation.

Then Cooke fired back, continuing to blow holes in Cuomo’s argument.

This is your average situation when the left deals with guns. Cuomo lied about the facts. When he was confronted about the lies, he transitioned to another type of situation that had nothing to do with the conversation at hand. It’s no wonder so many people have distorted opinions of social issues.
