In a situation like this, everyone should be very considerate of the students in a very tough situation. Instead the media is politicizing it and pushing gun control.
A student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School had an interview with The Daily Wire. He said instead of focusing on the students who lose their lives, the media is trying to politicize the event.
Here is his interview on MSNBC:

Per Daily Wire:
“I think it’s the media,” Minoff said, referring to whom he believes is promoting the gun control narrative in response to the shooting. “They exploit everything to make it political. They’re more concerned about gun control at this moment rather than the fact that there were 17 people that were killed.”
Minoff, who hopes to meet President Donald Trump to discuss the issue, said that he thinks there should be limits and restrictions on guns but is upset to see how the media is covering the tragedy.
“It pains me to see that knowing that 17 of my classmates are dead and they just want to talk about gun control,” he continued. “Students have opinions, they say stuff that they’re against guns, and that gun control is necessary, but they’re making it bigger than it needs to be at this moment.”
When asked if lawmakers should aim to pass more legislation to try to prevent tragedies like this from occurring in the future, he said that if lawmakers do pass legislation it needs to be something that is effective and “helpful” at fixing the situation, but added, “I don’t know how effective that is.”
“You can’t drink until you’re 21, but that doesn’t stop kids from drinking,” he noted. “I don’t know if there is a way to stop it. There is a way around anything.”
Minoff said that he “definitely” thinks that schools should have armed security guards, a comment he made while discussing football coach and security guard Aaron Feis, who was killed as he shielded students from the shooter.
“If coach Feis would have had a gun or any of the other security guards would have had a gun it definitely would have been less fatal,” he said. “[The shooter] and coach Feis were face-to-face and he just shielded kids instead of having the ability to kill the shooter.”
It’s absolutely despicable the media is doing this, but sadly it’s not really surprising. Their agenda is gun control and they will go to any length to push it. Politicizing high school students who are going through something this tough is despicable.
Check out some of the responses from Twitter:
There is video with Brandon Minoff another student at the school, that CNN and MSNBC is trying to bury. He speaks out against gun control. And he is right, no law would stop this. Short of an impossible ban, no law will stop this. It’s the criminal.

Brandon and Aidan Minoff of Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS were so impressive in an interview with CNN just now. Very well spoken and mature for their age. Sad, sad, day but awesome to see kids like that. #MarjoryStonemanDouglas

Douglas HS student Brandon Minoff isn’t joining other Florida high school students in their pro-gun control protests.
Instead, Minoff is calling out the media for politicizing the tragic Florida shooting by using it to promote the gun control narrative. https://t.co/9zB5hIBY8o

Brandon Minoff the 1st interview I’ve seen of a student endorsing armed guards at schools. Maybe there’s hope for this generation after all. This student is not a puppet. Brandon sees how the #FAKENEWS is spinning this tragedy to push anti-gun agenda. We need more Brandon’s.
