Trump’s Effort To Put Christ Back In Christmas

President Trump has not been shy about this particular movement. Trump’s effort to “put Christ back in Christmas” is full speed ahead.

He is attacking this the only way he knows how. He is making public remarks that include Christmas in them. Then in case you don’t notice he is pointing out that he made the Christmas remarks.

Trump has long promised that this year was going to be different. He is helping to have the “Happy Holidays” message dumped and the Christian celebrated gets proper credit for the holiday.

Per Daily Mail:

‘Well, guess what? We’re saying ‘Merry Christmas’ again,’ Trump announced in October at a Values Voter Summit of conservatives.

For all of that, though, it turns out the 2017 holiday rhythms at the White House are similar to those of years past.

The president participated in the annual lighting of the National Christmas Tree.

The house has been decked out for the season with an array of traditional trimmings, including the longstanding crèche in the East Room.

There has been a whirlwind of parties – roughly 20 receptions and more than 100 open houses, including a reception to mark Hanukkah.

‘It is as beautiful as it has always has been. It is as special as it always has been,’ said Anita McBride, who served as first lady Laura Bush’s chief of staff.

The White House holidays under Barack and Michelle Obama also included plenty of Christmas trappings and cheer.

Obama offered a more general holiday message on the official greeting card, but wished ‘Merry Christmas’ at the National Tree lighting, on his Twitter account and in his weekly address.

Trump has been pushing this agenda for years. Back in 2011, he ripped Obama on Twitter.

Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton also offered Kwanza greeting remarks, referring to the weeklong African heritage festival in December. In an unrelated note, Steven Crowder made a viral video where he says Kwanza is fake and challenges anyone to prove him wrong.

According to the White House, Trump will have a statement on Kwanza.

First Lady Melania Trump’s spokeswoman was asked if the Trump administration thought previous administrations did not acknowledge Christmas. She replied: “We are focused on our own administration.”

You have to Admire Trump sticking to his mission and backing up his promises. Whether you love him or hate him you have to admit that once he gets his mind on something, he won’t give up until he finishes it.
