Sean Spicer Set To Write a Book Detailing His Six Months In Trump’s White House

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer is set to write a book detailing his six months he spent under the Trump administration.

The book will be called “The Briefing.” He revealed this information on Monday evening to Sean Hannity. The book will be released July 23, 2018.

Spicer has indicated that the book will hold the media accountable for their “rampant hostility” toward President Trump.

“This isn’t about White House gossip. I can tell you from first-hand experience of the rampant hostility President Trump faces daily from the mainstream press, and I want the American people to have an opportunity to hear the truth they won’t hear from mainstream media,” Spicer said.

“I look forward to sharing my stories and setting the record straight.”

Per Daily Mail:

Spicer announced his resignation in July following a tempestuous tenure – six months after Trump took office – after it was announced that Anthony Scaramucci would be head of White House communications.

In response to his decision, Trump said that he was ‘grateful’ for Spicer’s work and ‘wish[ed] him continued success as he moves on to pursue new opportunities.’

Scaramucci himself resigned 10 days later. Spicer was replaced by Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Now, Spicer said he has decided ‘it is incumbent’ that he share his account of the time he spent serving under Trump.

‘I’ve decided that it is incumbent upon me to set the record straight and give people a real understanding of what happened through each of those crucial points in our history,’ he told Sean Hannity on Monday night.

Conservative publisher Regnery Publishing is releasing the book. They have already published book for prominent conservative authors such as Dinesh D’Souza and Ann Coulter.
