Anthem Protester Marshawn Lynch Ejected For Shoving Referee – VIDEO

During a Thursday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs, anthem protester Marshawn Lynch was ejected for shoving a referee. The Oakland Raiders running back has underperformed grossly since being brought in to be the starting running back this season. He has made more headlines for sitting during the national anthem than any production on the field.

The melee started when Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was on the receiving end of a late hit. Raiders offensive lineman rushed to his aid. Lynch, who was not even on the field for the play, came running onto the field and got physical with a referee.

The official quickly threw a flag and ejected Lynch.

Anthem protester Marshawn Lynch shoves referee.

Even if Lynch was not ejected for roughing up the referee, there is a good chance he would have been ejected for coming off the bench to get involved in a fight.

According to ESPN, a player is fined $30,387 for putting his hands on a referee and if he is suspended for any games he will lose $79,411 for each game he misses.

The fine should be no issue for Lynch as he is known as a very frugal guy who has saved most of the $50 million he has earned in the NFL.

Lynch, who very rarely gives interviews, already made headlines this season for refusing to stand during the national anthem.
