Liberals Attempt to Frame Trump as Puerto Rico’s Villain – VIDEO

This isn’t surprising. Following Hurricane Maria devastating Puerto Rico, liberals attempt to frame President Trump as Puerto Rico’s villain.

From the very beginning when Hurricane Maria began smashing through Puerto Rico, President Trump began doing all he could to provide help in all avenues possible. Droves of military and first responders got there as quickly as possible, bringing water and food to the U.S. territory.

Yet, inexplicably, there were responses like this:

President George W. Bush faced similar criticism after Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans. Many people claimed that he was slow to act, which just wasn’t the case.

CNN was quick to sling mud at President Trump. No surprise there, right?

It is dangerous, and it is historic. Not even President George W. Bush went down that path during Hurricane Katrina, a crisis that will no longer serve as THE metric for future presidents’ failures. In the years ahead, we will stop asking “is this the President’s Hurricane Katrina?” Instead, it will be “is this the President’s Puerto Rico?” Trump has moved the goal post. That wasn’t easy to do. Mission accomplished.

President Trump defended himself the way he always does. By taking to Twitter.

This began when Carmen Yulin Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, held a press conference on Saturday morning where he claimed the federal government is offering no assistant to Puerto Rico. While delivering the speech there were loads of pallets in front of her containing supplies sent from the United States. It seems very evident the Democratic mayor was politicizing a natural disaster.

President Trump responded to Mayor Cruz’s claims.

A more in-depth report reveals that the recovery is going poorly due to weak leadership locally. Per The Hill:

FEMA administrator Brock Long defended a series of tweets from President Trump blasting San Juan’s mayor for criticizing the relief efforts following Hurricane Maria.

In an interview on CNN, Long suggested that Carmen Yulin Cruz, the mayor of Puerto Rico’s capital city, has failed to connect with FEMA command center set up on the island to help with the relief effort.

“The problem that we have with the mayor unfortunately is that unity of command is ultimately what’s needed to be successful in this response,” Long told CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield.

Unfortunately, the left never lets facts get in the way their narrative. If you Google “Trump’s Katrina” you will see loads of stories heaping blame on President Trump for the devastation in Puerto Rico.
