“They have to go.” During an interview with David Todd on NBC with Chuck Todd, Donald Trump vowed to end birthright citizenship and DACA.
This was something that Trump’s supporters stand behind in a big way. It looks very likely that he will not deliver on this promise and his base is very fired up about it.
You can see his promise in the interview below. It happened in 2015 with Chuck Todd.
While Chuck Schumer was made claims a deal is in place, President Trump took to Twitter to dispute his stance.
No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote.

Trump did hold up his end of the deal when it comes to rescinding Obama’s executive order on DACA. However, he has not made it clear he will keep Congress from passing legislation with regards to DACA. Will he veto a bill that comes along? It does not seem like it.
He has pushed off much of the responsibility to Congress. There is a six month delay before DACA ends, so within six months we will know the real answer as to what is happening with DACA.
Is President Trump using this as a bargaining chip to get Democrats on board with his motives? That’s a strong possibility, but if he caves on DACA and does not start the border wall, that will not be popular with the Trump base.
