On Saturday night, an Australian woman was shot to death by the first Somali police officer of Minneapolis. Justine Ruszczyk, 40,  was engaged to be married. Now she is dead. She was shot and killed by Officer Mohamed Noor.

It started with a 911 call on Saturday night that Ruszczyk made to report noise and a possible sexual assault. She was in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. The officers were not wearing body cameras, as the Minneapolis Police have to manually turn them on. According to accounts of witnesses, the police arrived at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. Part of the events were caught by police radio.

When the police arrived, Ruszczyk walked up to the car to address the officer who was driving, when Noor pulled out his gun and fired at her through the driver’s door. According to a source, Noor’s partner was “stunned” by what happened.
