On Tuesday FBI Director James Comey was fired. He refused to separate Trump from Russia. What it comes down to was Trump was mad Comey wouldn’t say three very important words.

A source close to the situation of Comey’s firing spoke with The Wall Street Journal that President Trump was growing increasingly frustrated that Comey would not do anything to quell the Trump-Russia accusations.

According to the source, Comey refused to “say those three little words: ‘There’s no ties.'” This played a big role in Trump’s decision to fire Comey. Obama appointed Comey as FBI Director in 2017 and still had 6 years left to serve.

Trump Was Mad

“While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau,” the president wrote in a letter to Comey informing Comey of his dismissal. “It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission.”

A source from The White House also said that Trump was unhappy with Comey’s eagerness to jump out in front of a camera. He was unsure whether or not Comey could remain independent while keeping a very high profile with the media.

Remember in January at a reception for law enforcement Trump said, “Oh and there’s James! He’s become more famous than me!”
