Catholic Hospital Sued by ACLU For Refusing to Perform Transition Surgery on Transgender Patient – VIDEO

In this story we have a woman who feels she is a man. As a result with the help of ACLU, a Catholic hospital sued for refusing to perform transition surgery on a transgender patient.

It seems like a fairly simple situation to handle. “Transition surgery” should be viewed as an elective surgery and hospitals should not be required to perform them. Plus, let’s be honest, these surgeries don’t actually turn a man into a woman or a woman into a man. It’s all one big fairytale in Liberal Land.

So this hospital is unwilling to do the surgery. And this woman wants to make things difficult. Instead of just going and finding another hospital, she wants to press the issue with this one.

In the suit, Evan Michael Minton, who is a woman who thinks she is a man, wants her vagina removed. Minton claims that the hospital is discriminating her sex change due to her lifestyle.

Obviously all “Evan” is doing is trying to get some attention and pass her unhappiness on to other people.

Per The Blaze:

Sacramento defense attorney Johnny Griffin believes that Minton has a case against the hospital, which seeks $4000 in damages.

“It kind of goes back to the whole ‘separate but equal’ years ago, where it was OK to discriminate, but as long as you provide something that was equally balanced,” said Griffin. “So, this is why this is an area of the law that needs to be settled by the courts.

The hospital itself says that they could no perform the transition surgery ” in accordance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services (ERDs) and the medical staff bylaws.”

“We have not been served with the complaint and cannot speak to the allegations until we have the opportunity to review them,” said Dignity Health Mercy San Juan officials in a statement. “What we can share is that at Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center, the services we provide are available to all members of the communities we serve without discrimination. We understand how important this surgery is for transgender individuals, and were happy to provide Mr. Minton and his surgeon the use of another Dignity Health hospital for his surgery within a few days.”

What a selfish thing to do! Minton is suing the hospital for damages. Damages? Yes, seriously.

This case should go down exactly how Burwell v. Hobby Lobby did. It is well within their religious rights to refuse to do something that goes against their religious beliefs.
