ISIS ‘Baiting’ the U.S. into Attacking Civilians – VIDEO

The Islamic State goes lower and lower. Now, with ISIS ‘baiting’ the U.S. into attacking civilians, the U.S. military will need to adjust its tactics. This is according to a U.S. military spokesman. How sick can a group of people possibly get?

On Wednesday the Pentagon released a video that showed ISIS forces firing at Iraqi Counterterrorism Service forces in western Mosul. While they were firing they were surrounded by civilians. Watch the video.

Per the Daily Caller:

“What you see now is not the use of civilians as human shields,” Army Col. Joseph Scrocca, a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S.-led operation against ISIS, in a briefing to Pentagon reporters Thursday. “ISIS is smuggling civilians into buildings so we won’t see them and trying to bait the coalition to attack.”

What’s even more disgusting is this tactic has became commonplace during the battle to retake Mosul. This is according to Air Force Col. John Thomas, spokesman for U.S. Central Command.

“Our Iraqi partners and CJTF (Combined Joint Task Force) have seen the tactic of ISIS [intentionally] placing civilians in harm’s way,” Thomas said on Friday during a statement. “While the video cannot portray intent, it does show actions, including knowingly establishing firing positions while civilians were present.”

Three days before this video there was a report from Bellingcat, which is an investigative journalism organization. Bellingcat released a report that claimed that March 16 U.S. strike on a mosque in Mosul claimed at least 38 lives.

Srocca also said that these tactics by the Islamic State has “caused some adjustments” to the U.S. military procedures being used. Despite this, officers in the field still have the ability to call in strikes.

The battle for West Mosul has pressed Iraqi security into a fierce battle that goes street-by-street. Every single inch of this territory is fought over.

“This is the most significant urban combat to take place since World War II,” Army Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, said in late March. “It is tough and brutal.”

Thomas said when ISIS attacked from positions where they were surrounded by civilians on March 16, the coalition forces did not respond.

Clearly, the Islamic State leaves no option on the table when it comes to bring terrorism not only to the Western world, but even their own people. Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis and President Trump surely have their hands full as they are truly battling the lowest form of scum on the earth.
